Dr. Denise M. Trauth served as President of Texas State University from 2002 to 2022. Denise Trauth and her six sisters all learned the value of an education at an early age growing up in Cincinnati. “We knew we could get out of washing dishes if we told our mother that we had homework,” she remembers. “So we were always doing homework.”
