Dr. Kelly Damphousse Confirmed by TSUS Board of Regents

Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff,

Today, the Texas State University System (TSUS) Board of Regents voted unanimously to confirm Dr. Kelly R. Damphousse as the next president of Texas State University. You can read the TSUS press release in the TXST Newsroom for more information.

During his visit to our campuses last week, many of you had the opportunity to learn more about Dr. Damphousse and the experience and vision he will bring to Texas State.  Now, it’s our pleasure to officially welcome him and his wife Beth to the Bobcat family. 

My last day as president will be June 30, and Dr. Damphousse will take office on July 1.  We will work closely together to ensure there is a smooth transition.

I hope you share in my excitement for the future of Texas State as we open a new chapter in university history. Please join me in congratulating Dr. Damphousse.
