Chief of Staff and Vice President Dr. Lisa Lloyd provides high level support to the university president; manages and directs all administrative and operational activities for the Office of the President; oversees Special Projects, Institutional Effectiveness and Institutional Research, and Institutional Compliance; directs presidential communication projects and initiatives; manages major projects for presidential and institutional priorities; assembles teams from across the university that problem solve and work toward improved processes; and assists in outreach to the university’s community partners and supporters.

Additional responsibilities include preparing presidential materials for The Texas State University System Board of Regents and the Chancellor; managing presidential email; preparing/reviewing presidential correspondence, presentations, statements, reports, and talking points/speeches for internal and external audiences; coordinating state governmental relations; preparing materials for Legislative Sessions; preparing and managing President Cabinet meeting agendas; drafting minutes for President’s Cabinet meetings; coordinating semi-annual Cabinet Retreats; preparing open records responses; and facilitating cross-divisional presidential projects and initiatives.
