Since becoming president in July 2022, Dr. Damphousse has built on Texas State's longstanding commitment to expanding opportunity while advancing an ambitious vision that elevates academic quality, research excellence, and the university's national prominence.

Under his leadership, Texas State has achieved record enrollment, expanded high-demand academic programs, reached unprecedented research growth, improved student success and retention, and ushered in a new era for Bobcat Athletics through the university's move to the Pac-12.

Throughout this period of remarkable growth, Dr. Damphousse has remained committed to ensuring that greater excellence never comes at the expense of opportunity, keeping student success at the heart of Texas State's mission.
