TODAY, TEXAS STATE UNIVERSITY JOINS EIGHT OUTSTANDING UNIVERSITIES IN THE PAC-12 CONFERENCE.
And yes, we are here to compete.
There will be new rivalries, great road trips, packed stadiums, and moments worth celebrating. We look forward to all of it.
We are also here to build something together. The new Pac-12 unites ambitious universities across the West, joined by proud histories and a shared belief in higher education’s power to expand opportunity, advance discovery, and serve the public good. TXST is honored to help write the next chapter of that mission.
You may not know TXST yet, so we invite you to take a closer look.
No Texas university has grown more over the past four years. Enrollment has climbed by more than 6,000 students since Fall 2022 and is projected to reach 48,000 this fall, making us the largest university in the new Pac-12.
This spring, we graduated the largest class in our 127-year history. Most are from Texas, many are first-generation graduates, and many will build their careers in Texas.
Texas State generates $7.7 billion in annual economic impact for our state. Our research enterprise grew to $183 million last year, giving TXST R1-level research productivity with global reach.
We cannot wait to welcome you to San Marcos. Located between Austin and San Antonio, our home is one of America’s great college towns and the gateway to the Texas Hill Country, shaped by a crystal-clear river, a historic campus, and a welcoming university with a rising national profile.
When you arrive, you will find a university that has been preparing for this moment. TXST has recently invested more than $46 million in athletics facilities and the game-day experience. This year we launched the first NCAA Division I women’s gymnastics program in Texas, bringing our total to 17 Division I sports.
And to the thousands of Bobcat alumni who now call Pac-12 communities home—we hope to see you soon.
Athletics opened the door.
We invite you to step inside.
