How to Apply
All incoming first-year students are allowed to apply for the President's Leadership Class by completing an online application process, separate from standard admissions or scholarship applications.
Criteria for applications
Participant applications will be scored holistically based on the following criteria:
- Attention to academics: Consideration given to a student’s potential to succeed in college and as a campus leader.
- Engagement in student or community organizations: Consideration given to resume or essay highlighting the student’s activities.
- Demonstrated experience or desire to become a leader at Texas State University.
- Consideration given to essays from one of the three prompts determined by the PLC program selection committee.
